WHAT IS THE PROJECT PITCH ABOUT?
The Project Pitch is an initiative of the Municipal Futures Lab. It is a competition that encourages the practice of design thinking and rapid prototyping in drawing out fresh ideas and innovative solutions for the communities in Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat.
Participants will be working with their designated partner barangays and SKSU faculty members who will serve as advisers for their projects.
WHO CAN JOIN THE PROJECT PITCH?
All enrolled SKSU students are encouraged to join. Students must form a team with 3-5 members.
WHAT ARE THE GUIDELINES FOR THE PROJECT PITCH?
1. Fill out your team application form and submit it to the Project Coordinator on or before November 12.
2. Attend the orientation for participants on November 13. Official rules and assignment of barangays will be discussed during the orientation.
3. Submit your Project Pitch update report before your team's scheduled coaching session (via phone call or video chat).
4. Test at least 2 prototype versions of your team's product or service.
5. Submit your team's output (written file & powerpoint presentation) on or before December 3.
WHAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE TEAM'S OUTPUT?
The following must be seen in the team's submitted outputs:
1. pre-work data summary
2. discussion of prototype design
3. results of prototype testing
4. plans for implementation
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER WE SUBMIT OUR OUTPUT?
On December 5, we will have the Project Pitch Finals where each team will be given 5 minutes (max.) to pitch their project to the panel of judges, plus additional 5-10 minutes will be alloted for feedback and Q&A.
The winning teams will be awarded seed fund to proceed to the next phase of their project.
